I absolutely agree...
As an aside, one of my new colleagues, Bleddyn Williams, is over at the Rational Developer Conference in Florida this week, and as part of the process of speaking at that conference received some presentation training from a public speaking coach.. One of the guru's major points was how we all try to use too much text on our slides and fundamentally fail to look at the presentation from the audience's viewpoint - focusing on the message we need to get across rather than what the individual needs/wants to hear or learn. We should therefore use far more images and let our spoken words fill in the gaps. This slidedeck is clearly an great example of how to do this ;-)
